Another quick update: Porsche 911 GT1 Evo is done, but the Marcos is proving to be problematic: I've already done it twice and scrapped it cos it looked rubbish! Fingers crossed for third time lucky though, hopefully it should be finished this week, I should be sending the set to Andreas next week.

I think the carset would be better if I'd done all the cars the same way but I guess nothing's perfect! Plus it probably wouldn't have been finished till the next World Cup

The preview looks very promising. I'm sad that I have no PC right now where I could try it out, as GP2 doesn't want to work at this one and my laptop has blown up. I hope I can try the carset(s) out soon.

So, time for a new project then...

I'm just starting a complete rebuild of the touring car shape so it fits in better with my new method of car painting, hopefully it should make the cars look more realistic. With any luck that should be done sometime next week. Then I'll be making a start on a 1994 BTCC carset (at last).

By the way, isn't it quiet here lately?

Yes, it is quite quiet here at the moment. Probably because the focus of most members lies on the football world cup. At least this is my absolute priority these days. The weather is also nice and so outdoor activities may also be a reason.

Related to GP2 I hope that I can get the game running again soon and then test your FIA-GT carset or better play a full season with it. I'm looking forward to your BTCC carset, although I hoped a little bit for a 2010 FIA-GT1-carset.

Don't worry, a 2010 GT1 carset is on the to-do list as well

So, I re-did the touring car shape ready for the 1994 BTCC carset. I'm also re-doing the 1993 carset to fit this shape.

It'll also provide the carshape for this years' WTCC and BTCC carsets (the shape is based on the current BMW 3-series E90).

It's bigger than the old shape I used, so it looks a little more low-res but it should fit the tracks better (the old car was a bit small and was dwarfed by the tracks).

Any chance you could send me this carshape? Could use it for WRL !!

Yeah sure, it's a lot different from the old one though so you won't be able to use any of the old bitmaps with it.

Any chance you could send us a set of blank bitmaps to go with it?
