That would be great, because Win XP is the only Windows i've got... :P

There's another problem, the program needs the .NET Framework to run. I have to rebuild it with another language.

Maybe another C++ IDE different from Visual C++, so I can use part of my code.

I'm trying Dev C++. It's not so easy to create an interface, but I think I can do it.

I am pleased about your work with the Magic Data Editor. =D>
I tried to play with different settings. Everything works fine.
But I must learn much more about the settings.
First I have exported different m2d's to slot 16 and drove some laps.

I hope you find it useful :D

Did you test the sample files?

I uses different tracks from different creators. Some tracks are really cool but the problem is each track have its own difficulty. On some tracks im 0.5 sec. slower than the mclearen's (Istanbull, Fuji) and on another circuits im way to fast (Barcelona, Brazil). So now it is possible to change the A.I performance for EACH track? That is really cool.

I have the following problem thouhg. I play the game on Win98 so I cant install it. But is it possible to install the program on this pc (winxp), change the values (without testing) and copie the gp2.exe file to my older pc?

Thx and keep on working rremedio [-o<

I think that's possible.

Hi! I've been doing some tests with the program in 2 tracks, not original ones, changing Qual Grip, Race Grip, and Qual Grip 2, Race Grip 2... And I realize that for a good qual and race you have to put this differences in the values:
For example...
Qual Grip: 14004
Race Grip: 14196...
14196-14004=192... Between 125 and 225 is the perfect value, for qual and race.
Qual Grip: 14004
Qual Grip 2: 15543...
15543-14004=1539... Between 1490 and 1550 you are gonna have a very good qual with CCs cars.
Race Grip: 14196
Race Grip 2: 15543...
15543-14196=1347... Between 1325 and 1425 you are gonna have a good race with CCs cars.
I'll do this in more tracks so I can confirm this theory.
Also I see some other things that I want to test...
I hope you understand what I mean. Sorry my very bad english.
See you soon.

I didn't see this post from Sender_vm before...sorry

Anyway, I don't agree with him.

A new version of the editor was sent to Andreas. Bugs were fixed and there's a new feature.

Well, this was forgotten in my hd. The beta version of the Physics Editor!

I hope it can be useful on learning/setting the game. It's still hard to use, but together with Magic Data it can have good results.

Please test it.

I made some small tests.
The Editor works perfect with the german version of GP2.

The power factor is a nice feature.
Works for human and computer cars and makes races on oval tracks or tracks like Akrotiri much faster.

But I must admit that I don't understand the most Settings at the moment.

Thank you guys! I think is long way until we know how to use all the factors. That's why it needs testing, testing and more testing.

i love your work rremedio!
i would like find the bug with sound when the low RPM.

I have a question on the tyre, it is really impossible to change the tyre wear of CC's car?
i would like a strategy with fuel full strategy like 2010 season but the cc's car don't stop all the race. Have you an idea?

Michael, you can do it with the magic data editor. There you may change the wear and the grip for all 4 tyre types (you must select which type you use for each track in the Track Editor). You may try my 2009 test files from this topic -> viewtopic.php?f=8&t=530
