What :?: Dosbox works perfect for the both for me. :-k

When GP2 launched, there was no PC's to run it in full details with 25fps and it seems like it still is like that:D For me dosbox073 works but I have to reduce details (no textures or objects, also GP2laps car-distance settings can slow a lot) for racing to get good frame rates (depends on a track too).

I have 0.74 and everything works like is it. No graphics changes, cycles, etc..... Everything on full and the game is running very well. Just at the start of the race when all tires are smoking there is little slowdonw for 2-3 seconds and after that everything is normal. :)

Another factor is also that we have more detailed tracks than when the game came out. Especially the modern GP circuits with pit buildings and main grandstands of titanic proportions.

If all else fails, one way to deal with it could be to use VGA resolution - less pixels to draw, higher framerate. Gives +10 Nostalgia bonus, unless you're like "OMG that's what it really looked like back then if you didn't have an awesome video card?!".

Hi everyone, some months without showing here.

I think if you´re a hardcore GP2 player, you must have an old PC. You can buy a second hand cheap one or bring to life the old PII in the bakcyard. It´s the only way. Forget DOSBox, Windows 7 and the likes, just have problems with GP2. I myself have a PIII with GP2, GP3, and some other old racing games, it works ok for me.

Hey everyone, I'm sure you have plenty of things to do, but I just saw this circuit (from another old game) for the first time:

If anyone has time and feels like it, maybe this would be a good track to make? I think it would look great in GP2.

I would do it myself but I don't have the skill

This is F1 Challenge, for the Sega Saturn. The famous EA game is called F1 Challenge 99-02.

Let's hear it for Antonio Pessoa and his newly contributed tracks! (Will there be one of the Circuit of the Americas in time for the US Grand Prix?) Thanks to all for their work over the years here! :D
