Just out of interest:
Anybody knows if there were still cars on the F1 grid in 1994 with a manual gearbox?
Or maybe a semi auto gearbox but without the steering paddles?
I thought Simtek was still shifting manually, but I might be wron.

simtek had manual gearbox but with padles if i remember correctly. however after the french gp some money that Jean marc-gounon bring to the team through sponsors help the team to fit a semi automatic gearbox. Indeed simtek was the only team to use manual gearbox. Even pacific had a semi automatic gearbox from day1

"The last F1 car fitted with a conventional manual gearbox, the Forti FG01, raced in 1995."

Astonishing that Pacific had a semi automatic before Simtek. They were outqualified by Simtek for 85% of the times.
