Greyhead, if I were you I'd try to go to GP Live at Donington on May 18th, 19th and 20th 2007.
It should be an unique F1 event, really worth the money.

That's not a bad idea, Donington's not that far from me (about an hour's drive) so I might pop down there.

I've been to the Australian GP twice in Melbourne.
I live there and can hear the cars from home when the wind is not too bad.

If you wish to see a bunch of F1 cars racing at Hockenheim for 15 euro, I suggest you go to http://www.jimclark-revival.com and check it out.
I'll be there on sunday myself, so if anyone wants to meet up in person......I'll be spending most of my day around the 2 Simteks.....

i went to the jimclark-revival this year. i wanted to see the beautiful BASF-BMW M1 but it wasnt there. But other cool cars like the Martini-Brabham, Arrows, Ferrari, Lotus...

My F1 races were

1982 Hockenheim (i was 4 years old)
1986 Hockenheim
1996 Nürburgring (Jacques' first victory)
1997 Hockenheim Qualify (we went through a hole in the fence in the forrest)
1999 Nürburgring (yes!)
2000 Monaco (a friend invited me to his balcony)

and also some DTM Races, one GT Race.

I have to say, that the F1 is a special thing, very loud, very fast, very expensive. The F1 races (especially monaco) are very glamorous; theres a lot of show around it, but to watch it live, its almost very boring, because they overtake in the pits not on the track.

The greatest fun i had during 1993-1996 watching the DTM with Alfa Romeo against Mercedes. I'm an italian guy living in germany, and it was all time a great audiance, atmosphere and of corse action on the track. I wish these days come back again!

That was a great time. Actually, I enjoyed DTM before I really knew or understood much about Formula 1. :)

I never has been in F1 races. In Interlagos the ticket costs US$ 250. But if someday Indycars return to South America, I'll travel to watch, doen't matter where. I just watched national races at Interlagos in the 90's (Brazilian Stock Car) and Pick-Up racing at Santa Cruz do Sul some years ago, in the same time when the track was opened and I made it for GP2.

this are my plans for 2009:

1000km of Spa - LeMans Series
GP Germany (Nürburgring) - F1 (i hope i can found some cheap tickets)

For Spa i can hardly expect the different cars and engine sounds. And... Eau rouge!
And for the F1-race the excitement of the fans. And... Alonso!

My plans for this year are:

LMS Spa-Francochamps
Nürburgring F1 (only friday practice)
LMS Nürburgring (that's 100% definitive, as last year was "wow"!!)

And maybe something with group-C cars, if possible.

For two years, I've been sort of saying that I wanted to see the LMS race. I didn't go, and each time afterwards, I was upset that I didn't, so I've intentionally marked that in my calendar. I won't go to see any GPs from anywhere else than in front of my television/computer, though. In the "would be nice" category, I might pick some dates for the endurance championship that always runs on the Nordschleife.
