Win7 64bits + Virtual PC 2007 + GP2

Post by rremedio »

Does somebody use it? I've tried with Virtual PC emulating Win98, but the sound becomes buggy when there are more than one car on track. With newer version of Virtual PC, GP2 won't work.

I'd like to make it work without problems becouse Dosbox is still slow.

In Windows 7 32 bit SP1 everything is okay. :)

32bit seems like a big advantage on running several old games...

I didn`t manage to do the trick with Virtual Pc and even VM Ware failed. Luckily DosBox does the trick and GP2Lap also runs smoothly now :)

Was it VPC 2007? Becouse with newer versions I couldn't make it even display the game correctly.

DosBox works here too, but it's pretty slow depending on the track.

Yes it was. The virtual machines in VPC made trouble with some games (GP2, Road Rash) and so I tried the VMWares. Well, GP2 still needs Dosbox, but is playable at least :D

Yes I'll have to stick with DosBox. I just wish it was a little faster.

You can try VirtualBox, it's free and works better than VPC2007. But anyway I prefer DOSBOX too. :)

I've tried a while ago but GP2 didn't run. VirtualBox is much slower than VPC, but I'll try again sometime becouse I think I didn't properly install the OS on it.
