Which system is the best for GP2?
As you know, GP2 doesn't work on new systems. On Windows XP, firstly, GP2 hasn't sound, and secondly XP has colour change problem.(in GP2Edit if not in PAINt)
And I'm asking you, which system hasn't this problems and is the newest.

GP2 works with GP2Lap and VDMSound on my old Win XP SP2 machine perfectly. It should also work with DosBox on WinSP3, Vista or 7. The sound has some small issues but in total it also works good

In DOSBOX it lagging(more PO).
So, in Windows XP when you copy/paste GP2 color it changes, and when you insert helmet to game, colours also changing(my 'Colour Trouble' topic)

I would also say DOSBox with Windows XP, because you can simply emulate the Sound of GP", if you open the setup or setsound exe and choose Sound Blaster 16. DOSBox 0.74 is the best for it.
Re: Which system is the best for GP2?
The color change bug comes with Win XP SP3, if you use an older or virtual machine without the recent updates GP2 works superb. Else there aren`t many possibilities beside DosBox.
Windows XP Mode doesn`t work because it emulates a Win XP SP3

Win XP SP2 is the best "new" OS for GP2. I've never had any color problem which I didn't solve in few seconds...
Re: Which system is the best for GP2?
The best system is a pure DOS machine or W98. But the best of most recen OS is WinXP with VDMsound.
Re: Which system is the best for GP2?
I know what you mean Mad
In the options menu go to advanced options and choose "Use BIOS for pallete" and this should work for you
But if you mean GP2Edit and you are trying to make your own paint work use for that MS paint and save the bmp as 256 colors image and there shouldnt be a problem
