How do you drive

Post by rremedio »

It would be nice if everybody answer. It's important for all my future projects ("carsetwise"). Normal rear wings means you set the rear wing to a value compatible with the cc setup or original setup values.

Any doubts, just tell me.

I drive mostly with F7 and cc setup but sometimes I want to be more competitive and take F7 off and use unrealistic setups.

With F7 because I use the keyboard and always with less rear wing than front wing, but not 1 (maybe in Hockenheim).

I drive with F7 turned off and rear wing set to 1 becouse that's the only way to be fast in hotlap competitions. But sometimes I turn F7 on and use normal rear wing becouse it's easier to set a competitive race with the ccs that way.

I concur with the ones that say with F7 and a "normal" setup, depending of the nature of the track of course.

Traction control and a lot more downforce at the front than at the back for me, which is the way I try to set up in most of the games I play, because it usually fits with what driving style I've developed for simulations over the years.

With F7 off course because I play with keyboard.
Always with lower wing at the back and generally slightly better top speed than cc cars.
Exemple
Hockenheim 17 front , 1 or 2 back
SPA 18 front, 5-6 back
Monaco 20 front 13-14 back
Monza 17 front 4-5 back
Suzuka 18 front 10-12 back
and so on.

I have the feeling that i do the best lap times with the car oversteering in corners but so little that you don't even need to correct , just steer a little less than with balanced or understeering one.

I hate understeering cars in real life and at computer!

I make very low front wing setup but i change the damper and few other on suspension senings +/- 1-5% than original setup
