Compatibility GP2Edit + carsets and Windows 7

question from Rotterdam in my mailbox:

The GP2Edit carsets are in most cases very nice, but there seems to be a compatibility problem with Windows 7 that can not be solved with the normal "gadgets" that come with Windows; when I try to open GP2Edit to install in Windows 7, the pc comes up with the text that Windows 7 can not run the program (XP and 2000 were able to, but when I tried to open GP2Edit with a XP and 2000 service pack, nothing happened).
Do you maybe know how to overcome this problem; is there for example a version of GP2Edit that can run on the 64bit Windows 7, or is there maybe an extra "trick" in Windows 7 to make it work?

:?:

Hi.
I had that same problem, the editor installer doesn't work in windows 7. So I copy the installation from another computer, and now it works very good in windows 7.

Compatibility mode doesn`t work.

It depends on the Win7 version you have. With professional or higher you can try the XP-mode, this should do for legacy apps. Does it work with the 32 bit version of Win7?

Yes, 32-bit seems to work. 64-bit doesn't. :(
