Im doing a 1976 season with some changes on the circuits and driving Mario Andretti. I drive with the keyboard and in the semi-ace level.

Currently im second in the championship with 59 points and 5 wins.
Lauda has 66 points and 4 wins
and 1 point behind me is Hunt with only 2 wins.

There are 4 races left and i hope i will catch "the rat" since there.

What would be interesting if you could add these information when you write what you are playing atm: (because I am very lazy in figuring out everything by myself but I would like to play some nice seasons in the future, too ;-) )

1. Which carset do you use?
2. Which carshape do you use?
3. Which changes did you make regarding the circuits?

oh sorry,

I use the 1976Cset45 by Steven Young & Jonathan Edgar
But as Carshape i took 1975_jjm by John Moncrieff (i wanted the old Shapes with the giant airboxes)

Tracks were
1. Interlagos (old)
2. Buenos Aires (old)
3. Kyalami (old)
4. Monaco (old)
5. Montjuich
6. Long Beach (old)
7. Paul Ricard (long)
8. Brands Hatch
9. Nürburgring Südschleife
10. Zeltweg
11. Spa (old)
12. Monza + Oval (fictional Track)
13. Zandvoort (old)
14. Anderstorp
15. Bremgarten
16. Watkins Glen (80ies version)

If i will redo the championship i will remove the Montjuich Track, it was not funny to drive it (especially with keys, im sorry for the constructor).

Thank you Seb, sounds very interesting. I am thinking about driving a classic formula one season, too, so I needed some details! ;-)

I won Monza and Zandvoort, but i had a stupid accident with Depailler in Anderstorp. Fortunetly Lauda spun off and Hunt's engine blew off (he was leading) in the last lap, so nobody of us got points.
In Bremgarten i won and Lauda did a Pit Stop (i dont know why) so actually the standing is 77 for me, Lauda has 70 and Hunt 68 points. With only one race left, Warkins Glen, i need only a 5th place to win the championship 8) . I think if my car doesnt fail, it will be an easy race.

I finished this year only 1 season: 10% (ace level) season with original 1994 carset and circuits.
Driver: Coulthard
The only thing is I jumped all qualys and started from P26.

Results:
Brazil 5th
Pacific 1st
Imola 3rd
Monaco 1st
Spain 1st
Canada (crashed while 10th in lap 4)
France 4th
GB 2nd
Germany 7th
Hungary 5th
Spa 1st
Monza 3rd
Portugal 5th
Jerez 14th
Suzuka 5th
Adelaide 1st

Total scoring 75 points (champion - in review cause hitting Schumacher at Adelaide last hairpin lap7  )
then: Schumacher 72points - Hill 65 - Berger 55 - Alesi 52 - Hakkinen - 37 - Barrichello 15 - Verstappen 12 - Katayama 8 - Blundell 5 - Frentzen 5 - Brundle 5 - Panis 3 - Fittipaldi 3 - Martini 2 - DeCesaris 1 - Irvine 1

Now my time is being spent with the horribly difficult Jerez (you know why, check the results ) with a 100% race with Gianni Morbidellis Footwork (1994 original specs) but with the original Ford engine power (715-695BHP). Started 7th and running 1st on lap 12 (thanks to Hill with 1 pitstop strategy who didnt let Schumacher and Coulthard pass for 10 laps) and I just took Schumacher out (now running 19th) :D

It's stopped last weeks, but I'm running my fantasy league season '70. 9 Tracks, two races per track (100km per race). The starting grid for the second race it's the inverse of the first race results (except for non-finishers). The second race is always mor fun.

Tracks:

Aldo Scribante - DNF / 4th
Albi - 2nd / 1st
Castle Combe - 8th / 1st
Salzburging (my beta version) - 1st / 7th
Leipzig - 4th / DNF
Autodromo Caccere - 1st / 6th
Falkenberg
Bahia Blanca
Warwick Farm

Settings:

The cars are '67 style (non-winged)
Around 400bhp
585kg
Downforce set to zero

Easyly leading the championship.

Hi,

I am currently running the 1992 season - Martin Ursua's carset.

I took Aguri Suzuki's place at Footwork (he was rubbish tho wasn't he!)
Done 10 races so far.
Retired 6 times due to mechanical failure.
Got a 3rd place at Imola (rd5) and actually won the French GP!
Am racing at 25% with fuel corrected strategies so all cars have to stop once, myself included.
Bloody difficult to set up the car - tho i've never been an expert in this area, but it's a great championship.
Using F1 career at the moment and hoping to get some better contract offers than the current ones i've just got from Lotus and Tyrell.
Mr Dennis, you fancy giving me a call???????????

That's a wicked tool you're just casually mentioning there. I had never heard of it until now, and that's something I've been thinking about for some time. Nice to see someone already did it out there.

Just trying to update some of the data (tracks/teams), seeing if that's possible, so I might use this for GP4 which dare I say this here? is my main F1 game I'm playing right now.

You've never heard of it?
The F1Career utility?

You can download it here:

http://www.gprix2.com/gp2ut_mi.htm
(it's towards the bottom of the page...

It's pretty good, I'd give it 8/10 but if it weren't for the the few bugs, it'd be 10/10.

I dunno, maybe someone can improve it?????

GIve it a try...

What happens is this:
You enter the ranking of the teams according to how good they are, then you get an offer from one of the bottom teams, then you imput your race and qualifying results (along with your teammate) then you get a media report at the end of every race and towards the back of the season you get contract offers which you can negociate on to move up in your career...

I like it...
