Is there a mod for Potrero de los Funes?

Hi all, I'm just wondering if there's a mod available for this spectacular circuit? Visually it's stunning and it's listed #6 on the top-rated circuits on RacingCircuits.info, hoping to see it on Grand Prix 2 one day!

rremedio started a Potrero de los Funes for GP2 in the late 2000s. It hasn't been delivered with any scenery since then, just the track, cc-line and track heights. Fun to drive.
Ask rremedio if he can send you or post the track here

If it can be completed with the scenery then that would be amazing and I'd love to use the track in the Grand Prix World Series, I think it would be a spectacular addition to the championship!
rremedio, if you could send it that would be so hugely appreciated!

I think this is the version I posted years ago in one of my many "goodbye GP2" posts
I did not check it in game, let me know if it doesn't have a ccline so I can find the correct files.

Hi rremedio, thank you for this, it's much appreciated!
These are the only files in the folder, is there a text document with the required folder destination and everything?

Ah, sorry.
Create a folder called funes inside of gamejams and put the jam files there. The dat file goes into your circuit folder.

That's working now, much appreciated!
I may play around with the camera settings as there are a couple of instances of clipping, but for the most part the circuit looks great.
If you ever manage to complete the scenery for the track please send over a fresh copy, I'd love to include the track as part of the calendar for the RRML Grand Prix World Series!

funes.zip
I thought it was very good. Post if you have more files like these that are unfinished or are missing something, because we'll have fun. I've already added the track to the game I created with the Latin American drivers. It stayed like this
1 Punta Del Leste
2 Potero de los Funes
3 Las Vizcachas
4 Curitiba
5 Goiania
6 Tocancipa
7 Puebla (road)
8 San Carlos
9 Brasilia
10 Rio 400
11 São Paulo 300 (Anhembi)
12 Monterrey
13 Cidade do Mexico
14 Buenos Aires
15 Jacarepagua
16 Intrlagos
PS
my opinion, you can put it in the tracks section of your website

That's probably the development slot. I'm pretty sure it wasn't tested enough for me to choose a default slot for it.

I am, and likely will be for next couple of decades, fascinated for the huge vault of racing tracks developed by this amazing modding community.
As I don't have the time to perform 100% Race Distance as in my teenage, nor even 50%, and anyway I rely on Ted Meat to do those feats, I prefer to do 10% Race Distance and discover all those infinite tracks.
I don't have the skills/dedication to stream them, so it's a suggestion that every now and then I leave online so maybe Ted Meat or someone could take it. Lots of these tracks deserve to be shown on Youtbe. Not only the Michael82 Rabaland recent masterworks, but also the huge pack that Antônio Pessoa released recently, and Remedio's one, and many, many more.
I'm about to start a "fourth season" of 10% Race Distance comprised of tracks in which I had never raced before and for which, in most cases, that are no videos - meaning the tracks are not shown and there is no effort to master them. Today I tried Valencia 2008 for the first time in my life. It feels like I'm a decade and a half late, of course, but the track is very cool to drive. I'll probably say the same about every track, but nevermind. (I also tested Antônio's Johor in Malaysia, but I had already tried it once, before; it also seems very cool.) Even better: after some 15 or 20 laps, I'm still 1 second off the leaders' pace, so there's work to do - but not too much, as I want to find all the other tracks...
No problem, I'll install Funes in slot 6 and I'll check if it fits. It's time to make it live - I did not pay enough attention to Touring Cars and I had never heard of this cool Argentinian track until MTSElectro mentioned it, so thank you both!
As the track was recently dismantled
https://www.carburando.com/notas/triste ... -los-funes this is a way to keep it's memory...

The track is indeed kind of incompletebut nothing serious. It lacks almost all of the braking "300, 200, 100" signs. At some spots it seems to lack textures for escape areas. But the escape area where I went got me in bad terrain, so let's try not to cut them.
But it is perfect to give it a go! The lack of braking signs makes it more raw, and more of a challenge. You'll really need to practice and know the track very well to achieve those laptimes. Anyway, the kerbs work fine as braking points, and there are other references like fences, etc. I consider it as complete.
Likely, Roberto didn't reach the CC-cars setup edition, so it is front wing 1 rear wing 1. This counterbalances the braking signs absence and makes it potentially more easy to beat the CC-Cars. But I haven't got there yet.
I made a view-only 100% RD and the CC-Cars entered the pitlane with no issue on slot 6. I also entered the pitlane myself and the experience is quite psicadelic, but please, leave it that way. Both the player and the CC-cars enter smoothly and that's what matters. I have no idea if the rhythm of the CC-cars or the player is right, too fast or too slow, aka if this is the best slot or the Magic Data is correct.
In fact, given that the track was recently dismantled, this is the most realistic Potrero de los Funes we could get!
Many, many thanks!

Yes Potrero is fantastic, thanks rremedio for doing it for GP2! Scenery is basic but the track itself is very playable.
I didn´t know it has been dismantled, such a shame! I remember when FIA-GT raced there and started watching Argentinian TC2000 some years ago just to see the track again.

I bring good news!
Using the mod rremedio sent me, Chris K and I (mostly Chris) have worked on getting Potrero de los Funes looking decent with new scenery and new camera locations, and we are very happy with how it now looks
We plan to use the track in our championships within the Retro Racing Managers League, so very soon we should see the circuit being used in its full glory. Testing of the circuit has been very successful, with plenty of overtaking, drama, and action being seen
For those of you who would like to use the circuit, here it is!
The jam files should be placed into a folder called "funes" within the gamejams folder, and the dat name is already set to F1CT06.
Hope y'all enjoy!
