request for track help: Las Vegas 1981 CC line!

I was wondering if some of the experienced track builders could help me. I am trying to do an early 80s season and I want to race in Las Vegas 1981 at the caesar's palace track- however the CC line is not very good at the version we have for download here:
http://grandprix2.de/Strecke2/USA/vegas11_ad.zip
How hard would it be for someone to improve it? I tried to race here on ACE, and with only a little bit of practice I was starting last and able to pass the entire field with no problems.

The issue is not the CC line. That track has a "John Watson mode" activated

I wish I was better at working on gp2 tracks. All I really know how to do is add kerbs and sign markers. When I try and mess with the CC line I fail miserably.

I tried to mess with the CC line of Estoril 84-93 as the CC cars are too slow through the third sector and failed miserably. When you touch anything in the CC line, it affects everything that comes afterwards, so you have to have that in mind if you are adjusting the line for a single corner. Having barely any experience except for this failed experiment, I figured out that with enough time spent messing up a bit with the CC lines would work out, but it's not a two hour job.

I really think CC line editing is easier in ICR2 compared to GP2. I don't know how antonio, ismael, rremedio and michael82 get it done so well!

Hello guys- I worked on this CC line for vegas and now I made a fantastic version. I am making some improvements to the track and I will post a download when it is ready. I am excited I am hopefully learning gp2 track making now! I just raced 50 laps against the CC's and it was very difficult and competitive.

I just noted this nice note from samsepi0l that, for some reason, I hadn't noted before; sorry and thanks for your words!
However, I must do some justice here: I have never built a single GP2 track and I have no idea how to do so. Antonio, RRemedio and Michael Raballand deserve all the praise regarding this aspect, unlike me. The only thing I use to develop is carset files (not propers Carsets, as I'm not a designer either!!)

Well thank you all for just being my friends on the site anyways.
I have been working on 2 tracks at once these last few weeks. I have my CC line for Vegas really nice, and I changed the pit speed limit entry point as well as fixed some drawing turn-on time issues where objects were popping up too late. I am also putting the final touches on my Belle Isle 1998 CART ICR2 track which is very close to being released on icr2.net. I did watch a great video that was onboard footage from Alain Prost in the early 80s Renault at Vegas and it looks like I might want to change some of the objects for Vegas. This was a track that was started 25 or so years ago and I don't think the same access to video footage was available then and the creators may have kind of had to guess at what objects they should use maybe? Really I should watch the full race before I decide. This will force me to learn how to do gp2 objects. Now, with ICR2 objects- I scratch build everything and make polygons for it all. I read a bunch of the tech info on
www.waa63.ch about objects and scenery.

Hi samsepi0l, when do you think your Las Vegas track will be ready? I can't wait to try it!

I can post what I have now the next time I turn on that machine... it's not really "my track" per say- it's someone else's track that I made improvements. This was more of an exercise that would help me develop skills like I need to make my own scratch built tracks- I want to get as good as Michael or Antonio someday

Here is the updated track. I have included it in a zip file which has a magic data save for slot 16, which is the slot I used. It also has the jam folder (already converted to jam from jad)
If you need help please let me know.

Great stuff, thanks for that
Done a few test races and it looks a tad tricky to pass around this circuit, great to see such an infamous circuit revived though

How did I do on the CC line? Is this a good ideal line? A bad CC line will really ruin a track.
