What's your Favorite Track for GP2 ????
It depends on the carset...
- Zandvoort 99 by Martjin Keizer
- Modern Imola by AAS/various authors (old Imola too) - a boring track to watch, but a very nice one to drive
- Brands Hatch by John Edwards
- Donington ('90s and '30s) by John Edwards or Belini
- Montreal by AAS/various authors
- Pau 95% by CAP, 5% by me
- Kyalami 92 by PLK/Yunus Patel
- Castle Combe by me and Andreas
There are a lot other tracks. In fact, the tracks are my great passion in GP2.

Don't panic, i love the original Microprose Spa! Be nice if you could get the full 8-mile old circuit but GP2 won't allow it...

Here is not the grandprix2.de forum.
It's Henning's forum. http://hfgp2.hf.funpic.de/hfcs/pages/home.php

Re: What's your Favorite Track for GP2 ????
definitely Bern - Grauholz 1999
then Cadwell Park, you have to be a real rodeo cowboy to last more than 10 laps there!!!

Re: What's your Favorite Track for GP2 ????
and Spa, too, Chico Landi!!!
I really don´t like these tracks form original 1994 game:
- Jerez (the only race I couldn´t win, CC cars are too fast)
- Monaco (Schumacher finishes 2 laps down than me, CC cars are too slow!!!)
By the way, I play in Ace , 100% race lenght, have no steering wheel, just keyboard. Played the game since 1997 till maybe 2000, never competed with anyone

Re: What's your Favorite Track for GP2 ????
is there noone who wants to construct the Pergusa-Circuit at Enna/Siciliy? Its a very fast track, almost like an oval with bumpy and fast chicanes! [-o<

My Faves are:
Old Kyalami
Brands Hatch
Spa
Long Beach
Phoenix
Jerez 1994 (a version without the last chicane would be great)
Sepang
Estoril first version
Montjuich and Südschleife were a little bit disappointing for me.

I agree on that about 1994 Jerez, Computer Cars do that chicane faster than you could do because they dont rebound in the exit´s inner kerb and also its very easy to make errors because there is no kerb (and too much gravel) in the left when entering. Brake a bit late a you are off!!
I don´t agree on Estoril 1st version, coming out of the harpin is difficult and slow (cc cars dont spin so they came out faster) in the rest of the circuit you can make 2 seconds and then loose 1 second in that horrible upward chicane
Re: What's your Favorite Track for GP2 ????
I'm making a list of "want to make" tracks for in the future. I included this track in it. Depending on how much and specified information i can get i (maybe) give it a go. But you will have to wait patiently than. [-o<tmc wrote:is there noone who wants to construct the Pergusa-Circuit at Enna/Siciliy? TdK - (re)tired GrandPrix 2 manic!
Re: What's your Favorite Track for GP2 ????
@belatti
in fact i ment the version 1984-1993 of the Estoril Circuit (without hairpin).
@tdk
i guess its difficult to get infos (eg videosamples) of the pergusa circuit. Years ago I saw races of the italian touring car championship and the F3000 on TV... and it was impressing.

Re: What's your Favorite Track for GP2 ????
That must have been a monstrous track if it was originally driven basically without all the chicanes that have been introduced to the layout since.
It's also available in at least the second GTR game, so if there's a bit of a lack of real pictures, that could probably work as some reference too:

The track is a nice challenge in GTR2, because obviously because of the layout, you need a lot of top speed and yet you need to be really precise in the chicanes... that kind of generally likens it to Hockenheim a bit for me...
