There is a way to set 5% race length to championship and non-championship races?

Hello. I don't know, but there is a way to get that result.

In GP2edit (I'm using version 1.86), you can edit the number of laps in the game clicking edit > number of laps. Then, save car set as... (choose a name for your file) and export for your game, as usual.

If you'd like 5%, I guess you would halve the 10% race distance: Interlagos would have 3 or 4 laps, Aida would have 4 laps, Imola 3 laps, Monaco 4 laps, (...) Hockenheim 2 laps, and so on.

Please note that I've arrived to this forum quite recently, just in 2015. There at lots of experienced guys out there, perhaps they could get some idea.

Anyone knows how to do that?
If i open the f1gstate.sav file, i can identify the value that stores it (horizontal 00001940, vertical 06, or 1946 offset), but when i edit it putting the 5% value in hex, the file gets corrupted.

I'm no expert, but maybe you need to recalculate the checksum at the end of the file.

You can use the "GP2 Checksummer for DOS" from here:

I can't test right now but if you open Slot and Tyres Editor 4 beta, go to the Misc section, click Import under Session Duration, then click Export, it should fix your F1GSTATE.SAV file checksum.

Idk how GP2 will "react" to a race length bellow 10%. If something goes wrong you can always cut the race number of laps by half in the Track Editor and then you will get the correct result by setting the race length to 10%.
