GP2Lap on DOSBOX - Really slow

Got everything setup visually, now looks perfect.
However, gameplay far too slow.
Any suggestions to bring it to normal?

hmm probably change the cpu cycles.

go to your program files. then go to dosbox, and then open dosbox options, and then go to the cpu cycles. there are 3 options there one is auto, the other is max and the other set manual a number of cpu cycles by yourself, Only by experimenting you will find a proper solution. i had the same problem in my windows 10 laptop,. by fixing the cpy cycles, i manage to solve the problem
