Well only those carsets are remaining and we will have a full 1950-201x F1 seasons.

Should we start building them? I think it will be easy except the info searching and pictures from this years.

Im pretty sure that I can build one or two but we will see...

Well, info searching is not difficult...Just look at wikipedia  . More difficult is to cut away all the americans teams :? , and to achieve photoshots! .

Maybe some cars of these seasons are already done in previous carsets. In that era cars were used for more than 1 year so for example the Maserati 250F or Porsche 718 can be copied from one previous carset.

Then, I should have the carsets made by the gp2mania community many years ago (there should be also those years 56-59) and could be used as a basis point...

If they exists why they are not here? Without you Roberto, I believe no one would ever find them.

They were made for league use, they are not "ready-to-race" carsets. Some of them were released at the old gone grandprix2.com, but that site is no longer active. Grandprix2.de has a lot of carsets which you can download, install and make a quickrace with them, but this is not the case with those FGP2 carsets (which were team specific because the league works with team specific physics). I think that's the reason why they are not here. AAS is slowly compiling carsets from old leagues into "ready-to-race" sets, maybe someday he may/would look at those, but the man also have his life, we can't expect him to do this job for every league ever created.

Your project seems to be the perfect chance to get those cars over here and make our F1 roster finally complete! =D>

I was planning to move finally into Linux these days but looks like I have work to do first. :) Except if I find good program for editing 256 color bitmaps.

RacerBG are you still interested in this project? I think it would be an emotional moment when the entire history of F1 is represented right here on grandprix2.de. Geoff Crammond would certainly be proud.
