Re: Non-championship races vs. championship difference
Guess what? The same problem in championship mode. The interlagos race had the exact same result as the non championship race. Then Aida, was the same exact result after running the championship again. Surely theres a solution to this problem. Now I run a non championship race at Aida, completely di...

Re: the flow of time in gp2
Yes I noticed it was constantly met with violent opposition on the dosbox forums which was why I was nervous to use it. But I wasn't sure if it was because there was anything actually wrong with it, or if there was some other motivations behind encouraging other people not to use it. Oddly, despite ...

Re: Does anyone run Ace level with keyboard?
Good idea, it's hard enough to keep the car on the road and as we all know, there is no margin for error in old school f1. Survival is key

Re: Non-championship races vs. championship difference
Ok ill try and make this simple. Start your game, De select all drivers, set it to Ace 50% distance, run a non championship race at interlagos. Tell me if this is your results : ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ ³ Race Results ³ ³ ------------ ³ ³ Brazil - Interlagos ³ ³ (36 Laps)...

Re: Non-championship races vs. championship difference
Ok I've done some testing. I ran 3 consecutive non championship AI races at interlagos, ace level, 50% distance. Then I quit the game and repeated the process 3 times over. The results: exactly the same each time. As in, the results from race 1 after each reboot, were the same. Then the results of t...

Re: Does anyone run Ace level with keyboard?
I could add a detail: when I reinstalled GP2 for the first time after 13 or 14 years (which was in 2014), I tried to normally qualify in Ace level at Spa (regular game, no mods) and inserted a setup as I saw fit just relying on memory (no further research). I was 23th or 24th, and I thought "what a...

Re: Non-championship races vs. championship difference
Hi All, Nice to see the community for this great game alive after so many years. Decided to hop into GP2 after a 20-year hiatus and loving it. There is still some awesome feeling remaining after all these years that the newer games have not reached. Couple of questions though. I decided to start a ...

Re: Does anyone run Ace level with keyboard?
Haha well I don't load the carset through gp2edit, I always keep a clean gp2 install saved and then when I mod the sim I always mod from a clean copy. This way I can go back to the original game at any time without messing around. Anyway I don't like the idea of manipulating the results, I'll conti...

Re: the flow of time in gp2
Rremedio are you using dosbox 0.74? And you have normal speed? I've been using a thing called "dosbox ECE" 32 bit for a few months now and it works perfect with gp2. I also use this for icr2. I spend countless hours driving and I couldn't be happier. Timing is dead on. How does it compare with daum?...

Re: gp3 2000
Would you be able to send it to me in a private message? I'm really keen to try it. Did you apply the nocd patch? https://www.grandprixgames.org/read.php?50,931899 Did you try running the graphics settings in software mode? For some reason I can't play gp3 with hardware mode, it makes the game crash...

Re: Does anyone run Ace level with keyboard?
True I guess it's a pointless question since every carset is going to have a different performance level. These days I mainly run the standard version of the sim without any mods, because that's the way I always used to play it. I would say that semi-pro is probably my level, I can win on semi-pro b...

Does anyone run Ace level with keyboard?
Ok, so been playing a lot of gp4 lately and usually run semi-professional with the keyboard. I'm able to challenge for wins on this level but not dominate. In gp3 with a keyboard I can run ace and be a contender, so I thought it was time to get back into gp2. I started a championship on ace level 20...

Re: "snap oversteer" on corners that have height transitions
The same thing happens towards the end of the lap in Aida, in that really tight section around the right hander. I use the original tracks and cars 99% of the time so I just drive around it and clearly my driving leaves a lot to be desired seeing as I'm struggling to outqualify simteks on ace level
