I love the idea of the TGP but every car seems to be a Williams FW07! Does the Lotus 88 still race in it? I was going to go a TGP race at Brands Hatch a couple of years ago but never got round to it.

Elio's accident was probably one of the most senseless deaths in motor racing, nobody should have to die in testing. At least it highlighted the lack of safety measures during testing sessions. Although judging by some of the GPDA's comments during 2006, looks like not a lot has changed...

Your sportscar shape seems a pretty solid base from which to start, as you rightly say the distortions that result from changing the car shape are a pain but you seem to have got around that in your sportscar car shape.

Ah, so touring cars have been attempted... Not a bad try V12-power. Basically the only problem I have is time. I'm sure most of you know how difficult it is to juggle GP2 and real life. Thanks DJS. I'll have a bash at it myself as well, basically just to see if I can. My only other experience of making a car shape was a vain attempt to make a Brabham BT44, which looked vaguely liked it was supposed to, if you squinted hard enough. And used your imagination. And were blind.

Inspired by V12-Power's sports prototype carset, I've decided I'd like to attempt a World Touring Cars carset along similar lines. Moonraker; I think the BARs at Spa was 1999. Also Mika Salo had a huge one in the same place in 1998 in the Arrows, it cut the car in half lengthways! Also Burti's two accidents (Germany and Belgium) in 2001 would have been unsurvivable 20 years ago. Having said that, I think what happened post-Imol...

Motorsport is dramatic enough without seeing people die in front of you.

I love the new nose / wing combination, the little winglets on the front look really clever. It certainly goes a long way towards banishing memories of the "walrus tusks"!

I was coming back from seeing all my family (they live some distance from me) when I heard about Senna. I'd seen the accident but at the time I didn't even know about Barrichello's practice accident or Ratzenberger's fatal crash...
