Apparently the definitive livery will be some sort of "eco-themed" one. The rumour is that it'll be a big map of the Earth. Nice to know that they make it easy for us to draw the cars...

The Silverstone chap was Irish, a Father Cornelius Horan. Yes, that's right, Father. This particular nutter was a priest! I kind of hoped Jos Verstappen would splatter the idiot but he just drove past... V12-power, the Hockenheim one was 2000, and it helped set up Barrichello's first ever GP win if ...

Well that's probably not far from the truth, when Honda were heavily involved in Superbikes with Castrol sponsorship (also green like BP) they were white with black, green and red bits. Didn't look too bad but not that exciting.

Probably not. Apparently most teams won't touch black liveries because the marketing men say it doesn't show up the sponsors very well on a TV screen. I'm sure Lotus, Arrows, Shadow et al would say different...

I found university a lot harder than I expected and so it took me three years to pass my first year! Then I ran out of money so I had to leave and move back home. I was hoping to get a junior position with one of the English F1 teams (they are all based close to where I studied) but it didn't happen...

It certainly looks dramatic, and like everyone else says, you can see the lineage from Newey's recent McLarens. Not sure about the livery though, or more specifically the pin-stripes on top of the nose. They look a bit fussy to me.
Can't help but think how good it would look in silver...

Oh I wonder... surely it wouldn't be some white, red and black concoction... Seriously though, I wish they'd use this interim black livery at the races for once. F1 has been missing an all-black car for years! The '98 Arrows was the last time we had one and that looked great, and obviously the JPS L...

Well I never got to do any racing, or engineering, or indeed anything interesting at all... Because I was a first year at the time all they'd let me do was clean up some rusty bolts off an old Ford Sierra... Still, we all have to start somewhere...

Hey salvasirignano, which university do you go to? I went to Coventry uni (studied Automotive Engineering) and was involved in Formula Student for a brief time. Only as a backroom donkey though.

I think its a livery that will probably grow on people. The mix of colours is quite attractive but how they've put it all together just doesn't seem right somehow. Personally I liked the Renault liveries of the early 1980's, when they were just in Renault's corporate colours and didn't have to fit i...

I have a series of small bitmaps that act like French Curves do in technical drawing, they're all different colours which are smoothed into each other so I can create smooth curves or lines easily.
