But there is, one version (at least) was made over decade ago (checked from hard drive). I don't know how much it is scaled. Andreas, have you got the track somewhere?

Isn't AZ,. & space keyboard setting (since first GP) the best possible there is? With other racing sims or games I've always been trying to set keyboard first in GP's way if possible (usually not, and no gear changes with one button)

That setup_nocd would have been helpful (or this forum for that matter) when I tried to get sound for gp2 in dosbox first time :) I copied sound.cfg file from old backups (from dos6.22 pc), which worked. Do you have right setup in sound configuration in gp2 (setup.exe)? After that you may need to do some changes to dosbox.conf file's sound configurations to work it properly. In mixer section I have this altered setup, which works fine:

blocksize=2048
nosound=false
rate=22050
prebuffer=1000
