Name: Dan Country: England Age: 27 Occupation: Slacker / fork lift truck driver / know-it-all I bought GP2 way back in its first week of release, as an impressionable 16-year-old, after seeing it reviewed on long-forgotten Saturday afternoon TV-schedule-filler "Movies Games & Videos". ...

There's definitely some truth in that V12-power. Irvine did it too when he went to Jag, suddenly his helmet turned green! And look at all those Red Bull-sponsored drivers throughout the world, the likes of Vitantonio Liuzzi, Buddy Rice, AJ Allmendinger all with virtually the same helmet!

Yeah, it's like back in "ye olden days" you saw a helmet and you knew immediately that you were looking at Senna or Prost or Piquet. Now you're not sure where you stand, is it Alonso, Raikkonen, Kubica, who knows? It's made even worse by the fact that you can't see the numbers on the cars ...

Yeah I agree, mind you I was annoyed at Eddie Irvine when he changed his, I'm not Irish or even a fan of Irvine but he started off the whole thing! The corporate world manages to infest everything eventually...

Whatever happened to a helmet being a driver's identity? Think of the likes of Hill, Peterson, Mansell, Senna... They all had iconic helmet designs. Now none of them seem bothered about having an identity. Alonsos changed his design at least twice now!

There are certain colours that don't lend themselves well to "all one colour" single-seaters, completely red cars just don't look right! they need to have white or black wings or something to break up the colour a bit. Having said that, I quite like the Ferrari...

GP2 - the reason why Marlboro still sponsor Ferrari is apparently because Marlboro is such a well-recognised brand throughout the world, they don't actually need the wording or anything on the car, everyone knows that Marlboro sponsor Ferrari so just seeing the car is enough to make people think abo...

I reckon the blue is a pretty good compromise. Shame GP2 doesn't have a bigger pallette really, colours such as purple (as in the Jag) and aqua-marine (as in the Leyton House cars of the late '80's and early '90's) would make life easier!

Ah Andrea de Cesaris... Now there was a driver of unfulfilled potential. Talking of pretty cars (I realise this is wandering off-topic), what are people's favourite F1 cars? My personal favourite is the Lotus 79 (the 1978 one in JPS colours rather than the 1979 Martini / Essex example), followed by ...
