Re: Grand Prix 2020 version
This is just a renewed thanks and compliment to Thomas Kost and Roberto Remedio for making and delivering the Portimão track that, against my own expectations, is going to receive F1 this season.

Polar moment of inertia of current F1 cars
I was watching the 2 spins by Alex Albon and the crash by Danny Ric on the free practice of the Styrian Grand Prix and I got wondering. I did not study Physics nor Engineering, but I follow F1 and car racing for some time now, so it's almost the same  The polar moment of inertia is that concept...

Re: Perfect Grand Prix Track Pack and Game Edit
As I said elsewhere, I think the work developed by the track designers in this forum is amazing and we now reached a level where the latest tracks (by Antonio Pessoa, for instance, but RRemedio and others too) are more realistic that those of the original game. There are lots of hours of work, exper...

Re: Fictional Zeltweg 2020
I think the philosophy of the RacingCircuits.Info site works good. They show the different versions according to the years they worked. If we simplify this (not caring about corner name changes and remeasurings), we could say that the current track version is "Zeltweg 1996-today". So, this new versi...

Re: Grand Prix 2020 version
We still don't have the entire calendar, and I suppose some of these tracks would not fit their real-life slot counterparts. Apparently the Portuguese Portimão track, recently delivered, still has a shot of getting a race (although I believe it won't happen, if it has to be decided in the next few d...

Villeneuve Finished Sixth In The Legends Trophy Using An Xbox Controller
For everyone that ever played Grand Prix 2 with a keyboard, and especially for those who did that and were Villeneuve's fans at the time, this was awesome.

F1 Indoor Trophy
The WTF1 site recently brought this subject to our attention. I've never heard about this before, and it's quite rare for me to hear something new after following F1 very closely for a quarter of a century. https://wtf1.com/post/a-throwback-to-formula-1s-forgotten-indoor-trophy/ The video: https://w...

Re: Grand Prix 2020 version
A draft F1 2020 calendar with 19 races was published today. If we cut off the 3 repeats/double circuits, we reach GP2 16 slot. Adjusting magic data and putting Singapore instead of Vietnam, we would get: Slot 1 Red Bull Ring Slot 2 Silverstone Slot 3 Budapest Slot 4 Barcelona Slot 5 Spa-Francorchamp...

Re: A new track ?
The last track of 1984 ready. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0qZjuSSx9g Thank you very much! The track is amazing. I detected a small bug: a square "dark cloud" on the top of the screen, appearing in some corners, and turning in the opposite way of the corner. Maybe it was because I was te...

Re: Original game 750 HP season
if anyone has previous experience in 50% race distances That's me! A few in the nineties and a few now. I think you should choose always one stop, unless in tracks like Hockenheim and Monza where the tyres don't get much wasted and, depending on your setup, doing no stop would be better. I never fo...

Re: Speed of game
Sorry if I misunderstood, but here's my two cents, regardless of DosBOX ECE being better (which I think it is): I always play at 21.3 frame rate, I think it's the perfect one. Isn't 18.2 too slow?
