Dim person, quite complicated looking, might need some ideas/suggestions.
Quite thick, sorry.

GP2Lap on DOSBOX - Really slow
Got everything setup visually, now looks perfect.
However, gameplay far too slow.
Any suggestions to bring it to normal?

Re: GP2 and Windows 7
Hi folks! I have finally worked out the DOSBOX option to get GP2Lap up and running on a Windows 7 laptop so it looks like I'm back! The only thing I haven't clicked with yet is the RCR distances. 1. Editing the CFG file hasn't worked, largely because it isn't registering my changes. Is there a certa...

Re: micropros gp2 on windows 7 how to
Hi guys! I'm back! I know, it's been years, but I have decided to get back into the game I was born to play! Nowadays I am commentating for Eurosport and Motors TV, in fact this weekend I'm at the Ferrari Racing Days at Silverstone, but I found you guys again by accident and now I want back in!!! I ...

Re: GP2 on Windows 7 - AAAAAAGGHH!!!!
If you end up with the same conclusions for yours, you may try other virtual machines, like VirtualBox + Win98 or Virtual PC 2007 + WinXP. Some people got great experience with those. In my case, VirtualBox + Win98 is really fast for GP2, but not as smooth as I need for competitive play. VirtualPC ...

Re: GP2 on Windows 7 - AAAAAAGGHH!!!!
But you are using GP2Lap right? Thanks to it you will be able to reduce the rcr distances like I said (mines are 80 000, yours should be around 3000-4000). Also if ddraw is slow you can try the default settings. Leave machine to default. Set memsize to 32. Set scaler to none. Set cycles up to 10 00...

Re: GP2 on Windows 7 - AAAAAAGGHH!!!!
Gave it a try, but I can only get it working half the normal speed if it's on VGA and EVERY graphic is turned off.
I think this might be game over. Could try it on the laptop when it's repaired, but I fear my GP2 days are over.

Re: GP2 on Windows 7 - AAAAAAGGHH!!!!
GP2 and GP2Lap are both the same in terms of speed. What RCRs should I try?

Re: GP2 on Windows 7 - AAAAAAGGHH!!!!
OK, now I have GP2 up and running on DOSBOX. Apparently GP2Lap is a no-go area on DOSBox so I'll live without it. However, GP2 on DOSBOX is stupidly slow. I have even made adjustments to the config file as recommended by rremedio on Dec 18th: "I use these configurations and I think I have good quali...

GP2 on Windows 7 - AAAAAAGGHH!!!!
I'm so close to getting GP2 working on Win7, it runs indepenedently with good picture in low res graphics (vga), but appalling on high res graphics (svga). Menus are all over the place too. Tried it through DOSBox with D-Fend Reloaded, and DOSBox won't even open. I get the error message: "DOSBox has...
