Re: Static car previews
20240206_062322-picsay.jpg for nearly 30 years now I used the previews in the gp2 edit program for printouts on all kinds of things - it looks like what they are doing, however they are cropping out the cars and adding a background (which is easy in gimp) here is one of my notebooks with my 1984 ca...

Re: Error when starting GP2 limit
I believe gp2 and gp2 need to be in the correct folders before you start them. Dosbox ECE also seems to be the best dosbox version for gp2. I wish I could help you better. The community is small here so it can be difficult to get responses sometimes. Do your best to search though.

Re: dosbox ece or dosbox svn daum..
It has been a few years, and I heard about dosbox X, and dosbox staging.... I tried dosbox X, and for some reason it runs slower for me... the processor occupancy stays below 100%, but the time to complete a lap longer than in real life. I tested Michael82's Monaco - where on screen cockpit times sh...

Re: Steering Wheel Problem
F7 driver help.....? I remember there are help options for driving, but I can't remember which that is.... I use 'opposite-lock' help, so I can catch the car easier in a spin. The point here is to enjoy the game- regardless of your settings. If you're having fun who cares if you cheat. It's not like...

Re: graphics backwards on the rear wings of cars
I figured this out- increasing the RCR distance in the gp2lap config fixes it. I tried 20000 for the rear-incar SVGA setting and it was enough. I will try lowering it a little at a time until I see if the problem comes back.

Re: graphics backwards on the rear wings of cars
2 years later - still hoping for an answer...
I think this has to do with the car graphics going from 2d to 3d... if we could make this process start earlier (while the car is still at a greater distance from you) maybe that might work?

graphics backwards on the rear wings of cars
I'm sure you guys have all seen this. When you are following a car, sometimes the graphics appear backwards on the rear wing at certain viewing positions. Mostly as the car moves from your left or right, it appears correct, and then backwards depending on viewing angle. Has anyone found a fix for th...

Re: Human Fuel Magic Data for each slot
Here is how I do it: First I get sufficiently good at practicing on a track, and I know the line around the track well I concentrate on my setup. By then my fuel usage is repeatable. I do a test race with 2 stops. Let's say for sake of example, the race is 60 laps. The car will run 3x 20 lap stints....

Re: A new track ?
Let me say - I know Michael built Monza '84 a while ago but I just raced at that track in my '84 season and I am watching the real race on video (I downloaded a torrent of everything from 1980 to 2001). This work you did Michael is amazing. The sponsors and all of the little details are spot on. I'm...

new dosbox options in 2023??? (alternative dosbox-x instead of ECE)
Has anyone seen the version of dosbox called "dosbox x"? I have been using ECE to play gp2 for years, but now I see ECE has reached end of life and many people have moved to dosbox-x...
