Re: F1PerfView says performance files are corrupted
Found the reason: F1PerfView by default is set for LFS, so it must be changed from the view > options menu to Primary Game - GP2.

F1PerfView says performance files are corrupted
I'm trying to load the .pa* peformance files into F1PerfView, to analyze the telemetry, but it says they are corrupted ("Error reading file: the data seems to be corrupt"). I've saved them ingame, with GP2Lap running. I've also tried to save the perf files without GP2lap running, but still got the s...

Re: KBDSTEER.EXE issues
I resume this 2009 thread because I'm also having KBDSTEER.EXE issues, in that it simply seems to have no effect on the game. The program is in the same folder as gp2.exe, when I run "KBDSTEER.EXE 0" (to disable all steering aid), it says "GP" keyboard control: Steering help off, opposite lock off",...

Re: Does there exist a tool for disabling the steering help?
honestly I don't see a way to make the game even reasonably enjoyable with a keyboard. You should at least get an analog gamepad. I wouldn't play gp2 anymore if I couldn't have my steering wheel and pedals. I wonder how it would be with a playstation analog keypad (I only had wheels in the past). A...

Re: Does anyone run Ace level with keyboard?
Hi, I'm running Ace with keyboard and F2 and F7 aids, and I can compete with AI at Monza in laptimes. My best qualify lap there is 1'22'5, but it's possible to shave at least a few tents from that. I'm using the "The Fastest Car Setups for Keyboard v1.0b (15.12.96)" by Matti Laitinen, found at http...

Re: the flow of time in gp2
Also in this thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=737 the problem was reported back in 2010, and other solutions were suggested (even to just use the defaul 0.74 version of DosBox).

Re: Does there exist a tool for disabling the steering help?
It would be useful to have some kind of intermediate/milder sterring aid, because the default one gives an "on rails" feeling.

Re: the flow of time in gp2
I wonder if the flow of time bug also affects laptimes (i.e. if you get somewhat faster times when the game runs faster). I also have the bug running DosBox standard version on win 10, I will have to try DosBox ECE I guess. The only thing that was bothering me was the fact that I lost the sense of s...
