Re: A new track ?
Let me say - I know Michael built Monza '84 a while ago but I just raced at that track in my '84 season and I am watching the real race on video (I downloaded a torrent of everything from 1980 to 2001). This work you did Michael is amazing. The sponsors and all of the little details are spot on. I'm...

new dosbox options in 2023??? (alternative dosbox-x instead of ECE)
Has anyone seen the version of dosbox called "dosbox x"? I have been using ECE to play gp2 for years, but now I see ECE has reached end of life and many people have moved to dosbox-x...
have any of you tried it?

Re: Pit stops in 50/100 race distance
I know nothing about gp3... I bought it and played it only a handful of times, but nothing like gp2.roland ratzenberger wrote: ↑09.11.2023, 10:23
Hi mate . I have also found the paul hoads track editor for gp3 . Does it also alter the pit stop strategy in gp3 as in gp2. Do you know anything about that ?![]()

Re: Pit stops in 50/100 race distance
Wait - I've always changed the CC's pitstop strategy via the Paul Hoad track editor.... is this not a good way to do this? With the track editor it has an option that you can set likelyhood of 1, stop, 2 stop or 3 stop....

Re: Pit stops in 50/100 race distance
Do you mean running half distance races? I've never tried it- I've always done 100% length... but won't the opponents strategies still be the same- just shorter stints?

Re: New tracks & carsets - Michael82
I changed the physics for this carset (in the excellent gp2magic) in order to force the car to brake a little bit sooner. (Change "brake distance" from the original value 22000 to 16000 maybe) It seems more realistic. I'm interested in this- I would like to make the cars a little slower in corners ...

Re: New tracks & carsets - Michael82
Thank Man! Next step Montreal 1994. I would like to make all version of Montreal #-o Montreal is a challenge because it had a bunch of minor adjustments -Early 80's had the pit right after the tight hairpin and the extra curve before what I would normally call the first hairpin -Late 80's moved the...

Another amazing track from you Michael.
All of your track versions replace my "vanilla" gp2 tracks that are original. Your work is the finest!

Re: Fictional Zeltweg 2020
Antonio that's awesome. I would love to see it. I especially like when you do some of the older f1 tracks since I drive the real seasons with the real tracks. Once I get done making more of the icr2 tracks that I want, I will try and learn how to make gp2 tracks like you all. It takes me about 6 mon...

Re: Fictional Zeltweg 2020
I am driving this track in my 1984 season and it is amazing.... The flow and speed of it is so fantastic. I had no problems developing a rhythm and getting a good feel for it. I am running front wing = 8, rear wing = 3. I am thinking it may be necessary to have the car a little stiff so it reacts qu...

to bad that historicaerials.com does not seem to have old aerial shots outside of the USA. I use that frequently on my ICR2 tracks.
