Re: Making GP2 more realistic with the correct values
Unfortunately 0xDD seems to set the grip for the whole track. I don't think I ever tested having multiples of it tho, so maybe it works. CCs usually have advantage due to height transitions indeed. Also, when the ccline goes through (mostly high) kerbs. Yes agree 100%. I tried multiple instances of...

Re: Making GP2 more realistic with the correct values
There's no editor available to edit the "player grip", I do it via hex editor. I may include it on the Physics Editor. You can also change it track by track using command 0xdd (not sure if they are really the same thing, but old patcher did think yes). Rremedio - do you know if its possible to use ...

Here are some buildings I did (most of these I took from your Monaco Michael or original gp2 Monaco and manipulated them)

Re: Learning track editing in gp2 in 2025
Here are some pictures - these are cell phone pictures because I posted them on gplaps discord when I was working on this part of the circuit. Why cell phone pictures? Discord is blocked where I do my track editing, so I use the discord app on my phone. Here you can see the ribbons I made to sort of...

Re: Learning track editing in gp2 in 2025
Here is a picture from my object editor
You can see I have the shape I want. However in the game it does not come up right.
This is the object that I started off with... I only picked it because it had enough scales.

Re: Learning track editing in gp2 in 2025
Do you have try to replace ID texture 32 ? I assume texture 32 is part of the root gamejams folder, No I did not try and replace it. I am having a different problem now though, unrelated to this. I am trying to make a circular building from the large jagged edge building in Monaco. This building ha...

Re: Learning track editing in gp2 in 2025
Maybe there is an objet I used in Monaco just before ste devote curve on the left. It is an rounded building but maybe there are too much texture for your use. If you don't find that I can send it sunday. About the verge you need to edit the scenaries otherwise you don't have any verge after the fe...

Re: Learning track editing in gp2 in 2025
Yes I know this problem.. and I never resolved that. I think the best solution is to use an object where the texture have enough horizontal/vertical options. I know it is frustrating. I tried to add textures but often I had other errors when I imported in the track. ](*,) I am trying to create this...

Re: Learning track editing in gp2 in 2025
Michael - I need your help! I am trying to add a jam texture to a building (I actually got it from your Rio track). I modified the GPO file with the object editor, and it is picking up the correct jam file, however the ability to REPEAT the texture is missing! I don't know why. I tried looking at th...

Re: Learning track editing in gp2 in 2025
Try to check the pit crew in the object definition in the track editor. It seems to me it is normally in 4th position maybe. Yes somehow I deleted something above the pit crew which moved them to the offset 48... in all tracks it appears pit crew is offset 64. I reverted to an earlier version. Was ...

changing the CC car setups in the track file (wing, gears and brake bias)
I am currently racing on michael82's Monza and I noticed the CC's will almost always brake deeper than me in the 2nd chicane and I was thinking- could I change the brake bias in the track file to "handicap" them so they could not be as efficient braking? The idea is that I would cause them to brake ...
