Description : This is a GP2 version for Misano's track layout which was built in 1973 as a 3.48 km circuit, on those years also known as Autodromo di Santamonica. From the 1970s to the 1990s, Misano held several European Formula Two and MotoGP races. MotoGP first visit to Misano's 3.48 layout was in 1980, as the "Nations Grand Prix", and some other years during the 1980s the circuit held the MotoGP "San Marino Grand Prix". In 1993 Misano was expanded a 4.0 kms circuit layout presented on my previous GP2 track (which I made from 2015 to 2019). That race was specially tragic, since American rider triple World champion Wayne Rainey felt on the ground of Misano's new Turn 1 and became paraplegic. Since that day in September 1993, MotoGP didn't return to this layout of Misano. In 2007 the circuit was fully refurbished, became as a complete new track, now known as Misano World Circuit, and MotoGP was back for annual San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix in each September. In 2012, the circuit changed the official name to Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, after the Italian rider dies during the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix.

Other Works : I stopped to count my previous works, from 2001 to now, maybe some dozens of GP2 tracks around the world... :)
Thanks to : Paul Hoad for the Trackeditor, Object editor and Jam editor.
Geoff Crammond for making Grand Prix 2.
			  Andreas Schulz for grandprix2.de
Tim de Klein and Thomas Kost for several GP2 tracks and textures.
rremedio and Michel Raballand for recent GP2 tracks.
Livio Trivellizzi for the previous unfinished 2000 Misano track.

Known Bugs : Nothing serious. You won't notice them.
Build Time : Livio's timework: unknown. Antonio's timework on scenery: some weeks in 2015, very slowly, and some days in January 2016. This 1989 track layout was drawn in early 2016, but after several years in a break, was resumed in early February 2020 up to the finish.

* Installation *
1.
(if you already have new tracks on the game jump to STEP 2):
patch the game with a util that obliges the game to read the tracks
from the harddisk. These utils are gp2nocd or trakonhd.
Search for one of them on the net and install it. This program will
create a new directory called "circuits": you have to copy there
ALL the 16 track files (F1ct01, F1ct02...........F1ct16)

2.
Place the 'misano89' directory from the ZIP file into the Gp2 'gamejams' directory. Run the convert.exe.

3.
Place the Misano Santamonica_Italy_1989.dat file in the circuits directory. It runs the best in slot 03, others slots was not tested.

4.
Start Gp2 and drive...........
