Description : Finally comes the day Vallelunga circuit has a good GP2 track! Built in 1951 as an 1 mile hypodrome, its dirt track host many races in the 50's. But Rome metropolitan area deserved a permanent motor racing circuit, then in January 1958 the track was paved and expanded to 1.77 kms, adding the infield turns (Esse, Tornantino and Semaforo). Still far from the ideal international standards of that time, Vallelunga host some races before the expansion to a international venue in 1967, when was built more turns (Trincea, Cimini Due, Cimini Uno and Curvone). The track was expanded to a 3.22 kms circuit, enough for more international races. In the 1960's Vallelunga held some non-championship Formula One races, and from 1964 to 1991 was a permanent venue for European Formula Two/Intercontinental Formula 3000. In the 1970's the circuit host some World Endurance Championship races. During the 1980's, the circuit faded as an international fixture, due to its aged facilities. Vallelunga was speculated as a potential Formula One venue in 1986, after the cancellation of the Rome Grand Prix in late 1985. A project for a further expansion was made, but it was built just in 2005. Despite a new pit building in 1990, since that time Vallelunga host many Italian and European racing series. As a circuit considered "less important" than Monza, Imola, Mugello and Misano, Vallelunga hold a hierarchy position under those other Italian tracks, despite its location near the Italian capital city.
This GP2 version is about the 1971-2004 version, a 3.22 kms clockwise circuit, with a fast 1st sector, a very tight last sector, with the Tornantino hairpn as its most remarkable feature.

* Installation *
1.
(if you already have new tracks on the game jump to STEP 2):
patch the game with a util that obliges the game to read the tracks
from the harddisk. These utils are gp2nocd or trakonhd.
Search for one of them on the net and install it. This program will
create a new directory called "circuits": you have to copy there
ALL the 16 track files (F1ct01, F1ct02...........F1ct16)

2.
Place the 'vallunga' directory from the ZIP file into the Gp2 'gamejams' directory.

3.
Place Vallelunga_Italy_1991.dat file in the circuits directory. Slots 03 and 15 was tested, and the track run well. Others slots was not tested.

4.
Start Gp2 and drive...........
