Description : A track no one else had made for Microprose Grand Prix 2! I chose to made Shah Alam Circuit to recover its memories, since it's a demolished track since 2003, almost forgotten now. Opened in 1968, Shah Alam was the first permanent motor racing circuit in Asia outside Japan, placed in Kuala Lumpur metropolitan area, in Selangor state. During its 35 years of activities, Shah Alam was the home of the first international races in Southeastern Asia, like European Formula Two, World SportsCar/Endurance Championship, Moto GP and World Superbike. At the beginnings, a 3.38 kms track, improved its safety barrier after a fatal crash in a support race for the European Formula Two event in 1977 killed 6 childrens. In 1985, vowing the World Sport-Prototype/Endurance race, was expanded to its 3.693 kms track layout with the inclusion of Turn 11. In the 1990's Shah Alam had its heydays, with an annual Moto GP race there, and some World Superbike races. Shah Alam Circuit was known also as "Batu Tiga" Circuit, and was layed in a area near to the urban zone of Kuala Lumpur, just beside the beautitul Shah Alam Stadium (it's included also on this GP2 version!). Since Shah Alam was a "just modern" circuit for mid 1990's, had some rumors of a Formula One race in 1996, but the wish of the Malaysian government to host a Formula One race needed a most modern venue, and in late 1997 began the works to built Sepang International Circuit, a venue which replaced Shah Alam for international races from the late 1990's onwards. The 1998 Moto GP race was moved to Johor - another permanent racing circuit in Malaysia, near Singapore - before to go permanently to Sepang in 1999. The urban development of a growing Kuala Lumpur in early 2000's, added to the concorrence of Sepang in the metropolitan area, means no room for Shah Alam. The Selangor state government sold the circuit facilities for real estate developers, who demolished Shah Alam Circuit in late 2003 to built a residencial complex called D'Kayangan. This GP2 version brings the 1985-2003 track layout, measuring 3.693 kms, with some tight sectors, like tke southern "Esses" complex, two straightways (the back straight indeed is a sequence of two fast turns), and the fast and challenging "Lucas Loop" sweep, just before the last turn.

Other Works : I've finally counted my previous works! From December 2000 to February 2019 I made full or partially around 120 tracks :)
Thanks to : Paul Hoad for the Trackeditor, Object editor and Jam editor.
                  	  Geoff Crammond for making Grand Prix 2.

* Installation *
1.
(if you already have new tracks on the game jump to STEP 2):
patch the game with a util that obliges the game to read the tracks
from the harddisk. These utils are gp2nocd or trakonhd.
Search for one of them on the net and install it. This program will
create a new directory called "circuits": you have to copy there
ALL the 16 track files (F1ct01, F1ct02...........F1ct16)

2.
Place the 'shahalam' directory from the ZIP file into the Gp2 'gamejams' directory.

3.
Place Shah Alam_Malaysia_1994.dat file in the circuits directory. It runs the best in slot 02. Others slots was not tested.

4.
Start Gp2 and drive...........
