Description : The famous Fuji Speedway near the Mount Fuji in Japan has excellent GP2 versions for its F-1 1976-77 and F-1 2007-08 track layouts, made by Thomas Kost and Tim de Klein. However, between those Formula One eras in Fuji, the track host World Sport-Prototype Championship races from 1982 to 1988, International Formula Three races from 1990 to 1993, and several Japanese national series, like Formula Nippon, All-Japan Endurance and All-Japan GT Championships. Fuji Speedway was opened in January 1966 as a high-speed 6 kms track, shortened in 1974 after a serious double fatal crash on the banked Turn 1, crating the hairpin "Daiichi". This shortened layout was that where James Hunt won the 1976 World Championship under torrential rain, and he won the follow year Grand Prix. After a tragic fatal accident in October 1983, when Toru Takahashi flip his prototype and crashed upside down on the fast last turn's wall, Dunlop Chicane was built just before that last turn in early 1984. In early 1986, turn Number 1 (Daiichi) was revamped, crating a double 90-degree turns, instead of a single 180-degree like before. In mid-1987, Suntory chicane was built on the Turn 2, to decrease speeds before the fast 100R sweep. This GP2 version brings you the 1987 circuit, with the double 90-degree Daiichi, Suntory chicane and Dunlop chicane, the track layout from 1987 to 2003, before the full revamping of the circuit made in 2004 by Hermann Tilke. Since 2000, Fuji is owned by Toyota.

* Installation *
1.
(if you already have new tracks on the game jump to STEP 2):
patch the game with a util that obliges the game to read the tracks
from the harddisk. These utils are gp2nocd or trakonhd.
Search for one of them on the net and install it. This program will
create a new directory called "circuits": you have to copy there
ALL the 16 track files (F1ct01, F1ct02...........F1ct16)

2.
Download and install Fuji International Speedway 1977 (download link: http://grandprix2.de/Strecke2/Japan/Fuji1977_tk_tdk_v2.zip ).

3.
Extract all JAD files to "FUJI77" paste on your GAMEJAMS directory.

4.
Convert the JAD files to JAM files using Convert.exe.

5.
Place Fuji Speedway_Japan_1987.dat file in the circuits directory. It runs the best in
slots 12, 13 and 15. Others slots was not tested.
