1.4 - Race Weekend
1.4.1 - In order to post a qualifying
result, you must send in a legal hotlap, set in Free Practice mode, before
the qualifying deadline for that particular event.
1.4.2 - In order to post a race result,
you must send in a legal quickrace, before the race deadline for that particular
event.
1.4.3 - You may not run any of your
race or qualifying laps in "slow-mo" - in other words, running the PO above
100% to make the game slow down, giving you more reaction time. Average
PO for a lap must not exceed 110% (a 10% tolerance).
1.5 - Qualifying
For The Event
1.5.1 - You must comply to all rules
in sections 1.1 and 1.2.
1.5.2 - You must enter "Practice Any
Circuit" mode on the track being used for the event.
1.5.3 - You must race at the correct
skill level or higher for your division.
1.5.4 - There is no limit to the number
of laps and attempts taken.
1.5.5 - Once satisfied with your time,
save your hotlap, named in the appropriate format.
1.5.6 - Attach the file (preferably
zipped) to an e-mail and send to gp2champ@racingleague.net.
1.5.7 - Failure to submit a time before
the deadline means you will start at the back of the grid. This does not
mean you will necessarily start 26th, for example if you are one of 15
drivers competing in that race, you will start 15th.
1.5.8 - If two or more drivers fail
to submit a time their qualifying order will be decided on championship
position, if any of them are tied for the championship, the order will
be determined by car number.
1.5.9 - If two drivers submit an identical
time, whoever submitted first (whoever's e-mail arrives in my inbox first)
will be ahead on the grid.
1.6 - The Race
1.6.1 - You must comply to all rules
in sections 1.1 and 1.2.
1.6.2 - You must drive in quickrace
mode, starting from your posted grid position, at the track being used.
1.6.3 - If you qualify 27th or above,
you start 26th on the grid, and one second will be docked off your time
to represent the time taken to travel from your virtual grid slot to your
actual one (26th), so if you start 27th one second will be taken off your
time, two seconds for 28th, three for 29th, ten for 36th etc. 1.6.4 - You
must drive at the correct posted race length.
1.6.5 - You must drive at the correct
skill level for your division.
***Most of these options should
be in place if you have patched GP2 with the correct carset***
1.6.6 - If driving in F1 or F3000,
you may not save and reload during the race, the only saves permitted are
on the grid BEFORE the race starts, and AFTER you have crossed the line
to finish the race.
1.6.7 - Once the race is finished,
save the race, named in the appropriate format.
1.6.8 - Attach the file (preferably
zipped) to an e-mail and send to gp2champ@racingleague.net.
1.6.9 - Failure to submit a race before
the deadline means you will not be classified and therefore gain no points
from the race.
1.7 - The Championships
In The GP2 Championship there are the
following championships to contest:
Drivers Championship
When a driver takes part in a race, he
earns a certain number of points for his position (see chart below). Each
division has it's own Drivers Championship, the driver with the most points
at the end of the season is crowned champion.
Teams Championship
As well as drivers, teams earn points
that go towards their own championship. Each team has a maximum two drivers
in each division, both of a teams drivers score points towards the teams
championship, using the same scoring system.
Overall Teams Championship
The Overall Teams Championship is calculated
in the following way :
100% of F1 Team Points.
80% of F3000 Team Points.
65% of F3 Team Points.
50% of F1600 Team Points.
30% of F600 Team Points.
20% of FVee Team Points.
Qualifying Championship (NEW)
A new addition for this season is the
Qualifying Championship. It is for drivers only, and there is one in each
division. It uses the same scoring system as the standard Drivers Championship,
but obviously without the fastlap/pole position bonuses.
Analog/Digital Championships (NEW)
As well as the Drivers Championship for
all drivers in each division, there will also be separate championships
for those using analog and those using digital controllers.
Scoring System
The GP2 Championship has it's own
unique scoring system:
